Born on November 1, 1947 to Mary Elizabeth Boren and William Roosevelt Patrick in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Lavonda was the youngest of six children.
Family and faith were a central pillar throughout her childhood growing up in Rossville, Georgia. Her upbringing cemented her love of community and taking care of others.
She married the love of her life, and devoted partner, Charles Frederick on May 21 1977 in Ringgold, Georgia. They both loved to travel, and were avid fans of the open road on their many RV adventures throughout the years. Lavonda, above all, relished the opportunity to see her family and friends across the country during these travels.
Her legacy in life was the family she built, and the love and kindness she so freely gave. Lavonda is preceded by her parents, William and Mary Patrick, her brothers Ed and Charles Patrick, sisters Barbara Qutz, Doris Patrick and Brenda Sanders. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles Larkin Frederick, daughters, Sheliena Diane Sakatan, Tammy Michelle Johnson, and Rhona Taylor, along with her cherished grandchildren Ranya Sakatan, Tanya Sakatan, Shane Holmstrom, Amber Chain, Miranda Meili, Kyle Meili, Cameron Dutton, Robert Taylor and Carson Taylor and six great-grandchildren.
