Larry (William Lawrence) DeLuca, 91, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015. He was born on April 20, 1923, in Punxatawney, Pennsylvania to Dominic and Theresa DeLuca. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his loving wife of 45 years, Darline Emerson DeLuca, and three brothers and two sisters.
All who ever knew Larry recognized his goodness and his gentleness. He was a man of integrity and humility, intelligence, wisdom, wit, a very strong sense of both faith and family, and so much more. This is only part of the legacy he and Darline have left to their three daughters, Michelle Price (husband Robert), Diane Rinn (husband Gary), Laurette Bruder (husband Rick); grandchildren Travis Rinn, Julie Rinn, Rachel Rinn Miles (husband Trent), Elizabeth Rinn, Austin Rinn, Buddy Bruder, Melissa Bruder, and Danny Bruder; great-grandchild Celeste Miles; sisters Elvera Sabol, Lenora Falso, Valerie Wahlin (Ken), and brother Ralph DeLuca; and many other loving family, friends and acquaintances.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Frwy., Houston, Texas 77079, 6-8 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John Vianney Catholic Church Friday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m. Donations may be made to St John Vianney Samaritans Ministry.
