Kevin Bernard Jones Sr.

At an early age, Kevin accepted Christ and joined Green Meadow Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Roy E. Stewart. He later moved his membership to True Praise Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Helaire where he remained a faithful member until death.

Kevin loved to BBQ, often referring to himself as The Pit Master. He enjoyed fishing and bowling and was an avid LA Dodger and Dallas Cowboy fan. Above all things, Kevin loved his entire family.

He was peacefully called home to glory on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his father, R. D. Jones, Jr.

He is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Patricia; his siblings: Anthony Jones, Sr. (Karen) and Donna Bryant (Quintin); his children: Kevin Jr. (Sharmaine), Latasha (Darrell), Patrick (Annette), Ryan (Tiana), Cameron (Nerys); 10 grandchildren: Tiana, Alissa, Sanaya, Camille, Kamille, Chloe, Jaylan, Kevin III, Roman, and Canaan; 2 aunts, Joyce Thomas and Mary Goldsmith (Paul); a very special loving and devoted friend, Evelyn Anderson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

A visitation for Kevin will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mt. Ararat, 5801 West Montgomery Rd., Houston, TX 77091. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 5801 West Montgomery Rd., Houston, TX 77091. A committal service will occur Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
