Kay O. Wadsworth, 87, entered into eternal rest on Friday March 20, 2020. He is reunited with his loving wife Tabita. Kay was born in Wayzata, Minnesota and grew up in Milton-Freewater, Oregon. He met and married Tabita while studying medicine in Guadalajara. They moved to Houston in 1979 shortly after second son, Jim, was born in Montemorelos. Kay worked as a lab technician at the VA Medical Center for over 30 years until his retirement in 2012. He kept active by playing tennis with his sons and enjoyed all things Houston, including his Astros, Oilers (Texans) and Rockets.
Kay is predeceased by his wife Tabita, his parents Leon and Amanda Wadsworth and his sister, Irma Wadsworth Schulden. He is survived by sister, Vida Wadsworth Hanks; brother, Warren Wadsworth; his three sons, Ray Wadsworth; Jim Wadsworth and wife Atefeh; Kenneth Wadsworth and wife Jasmine; grandchildren, Angel, Benjamin, Suleiman and Aluna; and great grandchild, Jo.
Heartfelt thanks go out to family and friends for their generous acts of kindness over the years taking care of a terrific and devoted Dad who will be tremendously missed. A private burial will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
