Katherine Louise Rod

Katherine Louise Kroll Rod, 89, was born on November 16, 1926 in Richards, TX and passed away on May 16, 2016 in The Woodlands, TX. She was an avid dancer who was agile on her feet and could shake a leg! As a member of the Polka Club Of America (Texas chapter since 1985), her and her husband Ben earned the title King and Queen of the Polka Club. She also worked with The Conroe Dance group and enjoyed two-stepping nearly every Friday night. She enjoyed her yard and took pride in the beauty she created there. She was a member of Lovelighters, The Woodlands Community Center and Catholic Daughters. Katherine was a devout Catholic who attended mass every day and was a parishioner of St. Simon & Jude Catholic Church of The Woodlands.

Katherine went to join her husband of 52 years, Ben A. Rod. She is survived by her 2 children; Benny W. Rod and Deborah Rod; 2 grandchildren Adam Rod, Stacey Jaskolka and husband Jason; 3 great grandchildren, Andrew and Lexie Rod, and Aislin Jaskolka.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. at St. Simon & Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands, followed by a reception and lunch in the family center.
