Juliet Therese Rivera, age 27, a resident of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010. Julie was born in Houston, Texas on July 5, 1983 to Cynde and Jaime Rivera. She was a graduate of the Kempner High School Class of 2001.
She wished to be remembered as a good person, a caring individual, funny, sweet, loving, a hopeless romantic, and overall, a wonderful human being.
Julie was so many things to so many people. She was a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a niece, a brilliant teacher, and most especially, a friend. She brought inspiration and joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Throughout the almost nine years of her courageous battle against primary pulmonary hypertension, her bravery and desire to live never once wavered. She was and always will be our extraordinary hero, who will carry on in all of our hearts and within all of the happy memories of her. She was and is extremely loved.
Julie is survived by her parents and her brother, Jaymes. She is also survived by her stepfather, Larry Smith, her stepsister and stepbrother, Kayte and Jason Smith, respectively, as well as by her grandparents Ethel and Lindsey Smith. In addition, Julie is survived by her nephew Zakhery and her niece Rebekah, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
