Juanita Rubio

Juanita met the love of her life Juan S. Rubio in Rosenberg, Texas and married him on April 2, 1947. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and always dedicated her time to care and love her family. She was known for her love of crocheting, her beautiful garden, and for always having coffee and tortillas ready for anyone that came to visit.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Juan S. Rubio; children, Jose Rubio, and Soila Rubio; granddaughter, Angela Rubio; parents, Juan Garcia and Angelita Vargas; sisters, Isabel Garcia, and Lila Ruiz; brothers, Francisco Garcia, and Juaqin Garcia.

Juanita is survived by her children, Mary Cadena, Isabel Garcia, Samuel Rubio, Guadalupe Rubio, Juan Rubio, Mary Lou Rubio–Solorzano, Jorge Rubio, Martin Rubio, Emilia Rubio-Leija, Bernardino Rubio, Francisco Rubio; 34 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren; and 35 great great grandchildren.

A visitation for Juanita will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Following the visitation will be a funeral service from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
