Joey , I was so sorry to hear about your Dads passing .He was a major part of mine and Lories lives , we spent a lot of time at his restaurant Jabos then
Later at his club Shilohs . We told him we would follow him where ever he decided to open another restaurant or club. He was a good friend to us both. Mrs. Sciortino I never had the opportunity to meet you and I am very sorry for your loss. May God bless your family.

Yesterday I was looking at Shiloh Club's website. Someone had posted their condolences to Joe. I didn't know he had passed away. I offer my condolences to his family. Joe was a great man! He will never be forgotten.RIP.

I am very sorry for your family's loss. I'll carry many  wonderful memories about Joe. Such a extraordinary man! We'll all miss him so much.

I was so saddened to hear that Joe passed away.  I met Joe in the early 90's.  My late husband Tony and my late father Ronnie and I had a band called Monica Marie and the BluesCruizers.  Joe hired us to play for him when he owned Jabo's in Chinatown.  He would always make sure we had anything we wanted or needed, including food and drinks.  He always invited lots of friends and family to come out and see us and it always turned into a great, fun time!  I used to drop by Jabo's about once a week and visit with Joe and the gang that hung out there.  When my husband Tony and I got married, we had our rehearsal dinner at Jabo's and Joe made sure everything was great!  When he bought Shilo's, we played for him several times there also.  I hadn't seen Joe in several years, after my husband passed away I no longer live in the area.  But I have thought so many times about all the good times we used to have and how Joe was always so generous and accommodating  to me and my band.  He was a wonderful man with a deep love for family and friends.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Sincerely,

To Berna, Gracie and to the Sciortino family.....I am heartbroken to hear of the passing of dear Joe. I have nothing of great memories of him back to all of our years of knowing each other.....especially those high school days. I know what an especially close relationship he and Berna have had for so many years and can only imagine the loss in your heart right now. Gracie I know how difficult it must be for you as well, to lose your brother! I am writing this all to you as I am in Italy and unable to come and say this to you in person. You have stayed in my thoughts, prayers and heart since I've heard the news. God bless you all during this difficult time......knowing that he is at peace, will hopefully bring you some peace.

What can I say about my dear sweet Uncle Joe the words are in my heart .
 Ever since I can remember being a little girl I had a special relationship with my Uncle Joe  we were more than just niece and uncle he was my friend he was my confidant we were very much alike .
I’ll always remember drawing pictures and sending letters to Uncle Joe and making the audio tapes with all of the family would come over and  send to him in Vietnam and one of my most memorable times was when he came home from Vietnam we were living on Leeland Street the car drove up in Uncle Joe Stepped out of the car , I remember all of my brothers and sisters and I running and jumping into his arms we couldn’t believe he was her we were so happy to see him .
 Things never changed we were always very special to each other and very close and all the fun times we spent at Shilo’s with Cousins and family dancing and drinking and having a great time .
 Phone calls or regular between us,  usually speak with Uncle Joe once a week calling just to tell him hello and that I love him ,  and or phone calls always ended with him saying I love you too  Niece.
You will forever and ever be in my heart and in my soul I love you Uncle Joe

This sweet wonderful man I have called Uncle Joe for my entire life . We spent many hours talking , laughing   Solving all the worlds problems . He was never too busy when I needed anything he was there for me. 
I spent many a Birthday at his Shiloh Club 
Celebrating with Cousin Tee Palermo who loved him so much ! 
He would hire a band  so we could bring our friends together and have a happy night listening to great music and dancing with our friends. 
Thank you  Uncle Joe for the great memories and always making me feel good about how much you cared about your family and friends you will greatly be missed .
