John Joe Lopez

John Joe Lopez, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 4:00 pm in Southwest Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas 78229. He was born in Houston, Texas on May 31, 1950 to Jesse Hernandez Lopez and Guadalupe Ureste Soliz.

He is survived by his children, Jesse John Eloise. Mark Andrew Lopez, also Albert Jr., and Lorraine Medelez; followed by his grandchildren Mark, Zyren Lopez, Alyssa Justine, Mariah Sosa, Sydney, Philip Shavers, Izacc, Izalle, Izaylyn Williams, Matthew, Haven Lopez, Albert III, Christopher, Gabriella Medelez, Edward Jr., Nicholas, Elijah Nathaniel Castillo, RodoIfo, Fabian Carreon; also great grandchildren Brian, Iro, Larissa, Athena, Nedrick, Xyla, Mason Amir; His first wife, Josefina A. Lopez; sister’s Esther M. Dunn and Cynthia Lopez Alvarez.

John Joe Lopez was an amazing father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed cooking a big feast as well as the littlest things like taking his Precious out for a walk. He enjoyed playing golf and loved to watch sports especially football and baseball. Fishing and camping was something that John really enjoyed. He was happiest at these times. It was because he was around family; any opportunity to spend with us was pleasurable for him. He told many crazy jokes as well as made many of us laugh. John was truly a person that will be missed not just, for what he would do, but overall everything he did. Love you always Dad and grandpa, you will truly be missed.
