Joe Ray Lopez

Joe Ray Lopez peacefully passed away on June 15, 2023 at the young age of 56 surrounded by loved ones who will honor and cherish his memory. Joe was the first-born child of his parents Raymond & Maria Lopez. He was born on the first Monday of the month that year. September 5th, 1966 in Corpus Christi, TX. He would later move to Houston, TX and live the remainder of his life there. Those who knew Joe Ray remember his giving and caring nature. He is survived by his loving mother Maria Isabelle Lopez, his beloved spouse Barbara Vega, his two brothers and younger sister Willie, Albert & Lizzy Lopez. He also leaves behind a step daughter, a step son, grandchildren and soon to be great grandchildren. Among others he also leaves behind his nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and close friends. All who remember and cherish the man who Joe Ray was in this life. He will forever be remembered by all who loved him and the moments they’ve shared will be cherished throughout the years.

A visitation for Joe will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A rosary service will occur Monday, June 26, 2023 at 7:00 pm, 2516 Navigation Blvd, Houston, Texas 77003. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at 501 Tidwell Rd., Houston, TX 77022. Cremation will take place at a later date.
