Jo Evelyn (Wilson) Taylor

Jo Evelyn Wilson Grant Taylor (87) died peacefully on June 28, 2020 at home where she was surrounded by her family. She was born on December 30, 1932 to William Carl Wilson and Selma Mae Thorntonm in Galena Park , Texas.

Jo was married to Derald Ray Grant June 6, 1956. They had two children Darren Ray Grant and Dean Alan Grant.

Later in life she married Donald W, Taylor where she gained two bonus children Sherree Taylor White and Harold Taylor.

Jo is preceded in death by her loving husbands, parents, bonus son and sister Meredith (Carlene) Wood.

Survived by her children; Darren Grant (Marion) and Dean Grant. Grandsons; Brandon Grant(Staci), Parker Knutson(Chelsea) and Dylan Grant(Samatha). Great Grandchildren ; Marshall Knutson and Genova Knutson.

Bonus Children, Sherree White (Joe). Bonus grandchidlren; Alayna Lowrie (Mark), Derek Teague, and Taylor Silva. Bonus great grandchildren; Evelyn Lowrie, Everett Lowrie, Evan Lowrie, Aubrey Teague and Vanessa Eckler.

Jo wore many hats in her career but none she loved more than as a business partner and owner of Sheffield's. She made many friends that felt like family to her. Jo loved traveling and spending time at her beach house with family and friends. As an active member of Golden Acres Baptist Church she belonged to several clubs and ladies auxiliaries.

She was loved by all and we will miss her dearly. Her infectious smile and ability to make you feel like family was her best attribute. You will always be in our hearts. Until we meet again.

Visitation will be at Forest Park Lawndale grand chapel Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Celebration of Life will be at Forest Park Lawndale grand chapel Monday, July 6, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. with burial to follow at SouthPark cemetery in Pearland, Texas at 1:00 P.M.

Due to the pandemic all guest are to wear face makes and limit to 50 guests in the chapel. The bridge at Wayside and Lawndale is closed for construction and alternate routes need to be use to enter into the cemetery. Live steam of service will be on Forest Park Lawndale FaceBook page.
