Jimmy is survived by his spouse, Sylvia Garcia whom he was married for 57 lovely years; his daughters Cynthia Perez and Geneva Garcia-Castillo; his granddaughters Nadia Garcia and Bianca Castillo; and his brother Ralph Garcia.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his son-in-law Aaron Perez who gave Jimmy the nickname "Mr.G".
Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed watching all Houston sports, especially the Astros. He took pleasure in fishing at the pier in Galveston, hosting barbeques, and listening to music. Some of his favorite artists included Frank Sinatra, Santana, Tony Bennett, and famous Italian tenor, Pavarotti. He will always be remembered as being a caring and giving person. You could always find Jimmy with a smile regardless of the situation. Although he is now gone, his family will forever have him close to their hearts.
