Jill Edwards Duenser

Born on the 13th of August 1988, Jill was a National Merit Semi-Finalist and a proud 2006 graduate of St. John's High School, where she also attended Middle School. She began her schooling at West University Elementary School. A sensitive and witty daughter and big sister with a keen sense of fashion, she was supported and loved by a wide circle of caring friends and family during her illness.

She is survived by her parents and her younger brother, Kurt Duenser; as well as her cousins, John, Dan and Tim Jurik of Elmhurst, Illinois, Claire Edwards of Rockville, Maryland, and Woody Edwards of Norfolk, Virginia; her aunts and uncles, Laura and John Jurik, John and Andrea Duenser, and Roy Edwards; and her grandmother, Ruth Miller Edwards.

Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Jill during a memorial reception celebrating her life from three o'clock in the afternoon until six o'clock in the evening on Saturday, the 11th of December, in the Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

The family is to gather for a private funeral service at a later date.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Jill's name be directed to St. John's School, 2401 Claremont Lane, Houston, TX, 77019; or to the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 900 Portway Drive, Houston, TX, 77024.
