Jessie Louise Tamborello, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep early in the morning on June 16th, 2018, one day after her 94th birthday. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and partner of 60 years Joseph Frank Tamborello, Jr.; her parents Kenneth and Helen Edminster and stepmother Mary Louise "Pitts" Delord; as well as her first grandson E.J. Donnelly,III and sixth grandchild Andrew Pasek. She is survived by her dearly loved family, daughter JoDell Pasek, her husband Albin; son Michael Tamborello, his wife Dawn; grandchildren Misty James, her husband Glyn, Sarah Lozano, her husband Felipe, Jeffrey Tamborello, Alyssa Davidson, her husband Ross and Mary Catherine Tamborello. Great grandchildren: Dane Tamborello, Gabby, Edward and Aaron James.
Jessie was a native Houstonian. She attended Lanier Junior high and graduated from Lamar High School. She started her working career at the Texas Company, now known as Texaco, she then attended the Chicago and Southern Airlines school in Memphis to become a stewardess, after which she flew east coast routes with Continental Airlines.
Jessie married her high school sweetheart after he returned from WWII and began raising a family in the OST/South Houston area before moving to Victoria, Texas where she was an active member of the community. She was a member of the local historical society where she guided tours of Texas history sites in the Victoria and surrounding areas.
By her wishes there will be a small interment service at 10:00 am on Friday, the 22nd of June at Forest Park Lawndale cemetery, 6900 Lawndale in Houston. In Lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests and would appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
The family would like to express their deeply felt appreciation to everyone for their outpouring of love and support especially her long time caregivers, Virginia Williams, Ella Allen, and Wanda Faye Trotter who took exceptional, loving care of her in her final years.
