Jesse L Falcon was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Jesse will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Jesse was born on May 11, 1949 at Born at home by a private doctor in Rio Hondo, Texas. He was the son of Gilbert and Frances Falcon. Jesse grew up in Houston, Texas.
Jesse was raised with four siblings. He had brother, Paul and three sisters, Mary F. Sanchez, Minnie Martinez and Lisa Etienne. Jesse was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young boy, Jesse had a number of interests. Like most children, he enjoyed playing and making up games. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. Jesse was an active child who took part in basketball. In his spare time he liked playing marbles, tops and riding horses. However, to Jesse, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends.
A typical teenager, Jesse had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1969. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Always considered a “good” friend to those he knew, Jesse enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during his lifetime. While growing up, some of his best friends were John Suarez, Pat Gonzalez and Rudy Lopez.
Jesse worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Jesse was blessed with three children, two sons, Michael and Jesse, and one daughter Tracy. Another blessing for Jesse was the gift of two grandchildren, Andrew and Michael.
Fortunately, Jesse enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Jesse worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was a Realtor working along side his older sister Mary. He was employed as a Supervisor of security at Park Plaza Hospital and as a Private Investigator at Castillo Private Investigation Specialists. Jesse always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Jesse was an Army veteran. Jesse saw action in Vietnam. Through his hard work, he achieved the rank of SP4. He received several awards recognizing him for his service, including a Purple Heart. His fellow soldiers viewed him as a brother in arms and knew that he was as much a part of their family as their loved ones back home.
Jesse enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were archery, hunting and fishing. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Jesse found pleasure in sports. In high school, Jesse played basketball. Jesse was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so. Tops on his list were basketball and pro football.
Throughout his life, Jesse was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations. Throughout his later years, Jesse was an active member of the El Segundo Organization.
Jesse’s faith was important to him. He was a member of Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle.
Jesse enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for him to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included Louisiana, Las Vegas, Mexico and California visiting his sister Lisa and brother Paul.
Jesse was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. One of his favorites was As a boy his favorite pet was a kitten. They were best friends for two years. His family was rounded out by his dogs and fish.
Jesse passed away on November 23, 2012 at home in Manvel, Texas. He is survived by his children Tracy Michelle Falcon, Jesse Paul Falcon, Michael Teddy Falcon,daughter-in-law Sarah Bruecher Falcon, grandchildren Andrew Lee Falcon, Michael Jesse Falcon, mother of his children Elly Falcon, his companion Christina Rodriguez and her daughter Juanita Maltos as well as his siblings Mary F. Sanchez, Minnie Martinez, Paul Falcon and Lisa Etienne as well as several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Holy Name Catholic Church, Houston, Texas. Jesse was laid to rest in Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
Simply stated, Jesse was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Jesse leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Jesse L Falcon.
