Jerry Wayne Neagle, age 86, of Houston, Texas, departed this earthly life on Monday, July 24, 2023, in The Woodlands, Texas. Jerry was born on June 11, 1937, in Texas City, Texas, the only child of Mattie Irene Coffey and Chester Lawrence Neagle. He grew up in LaMarque, Texas, graduating from La Marque High School in 1955. He graduated from the University of Texas, receiving an MBA, and from the University of Houston Law School. He was a Certified Public Accountant and practiced tax and corporate law for almost 60 years. He was semi retired and continued to maintain
an office, working up until the day of his death.
He married Joy Broussard in 1969, and they lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he worked for Gulf Oil Corporation. In 1970 they returned to Houston permanently and moved into Ponderosa Forest, where they raised their four children.
Jerry is survived by his wife Joy, daughter Bonny Jean Neagle and her husband Julio Rubalcaba, sons Kevin Wayne Neagle, Brent A. Neagle, and Spencer Colin Neagle, and Colin’s wife Krissa Lynne Fritsche Neagle. His grandchildren are Stephanie Erica Weigle Irwin and her husband Kasey Irwin, Brandon Joseph Weigle and his wife Malin, Kayla Marie Weigle Hamid and her husband Raja, Ethan Joseph Neagle, Patrick Harrison Neagle, Alexandria Rose Neagle, and Sullivan Cole Neagle. Great grandchildren are Declan Lucas Irwin, Julian Patrick Irwin, and Ivy Louise Irwin. He also leaves behind his beloved pets Missy and Chester.
Visitation and reception will be 4:00 - 8:00 P. M. Friday, August 11th, at Brookside Funeral Home at Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston 77068.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 18511 Klein Church Road, Spring, Texas 77379, at 11:15. A. M. on Saturday, August 12th.
Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, 10708 Highway 6, Santa Fe, Texas. 77510.
