Jennifer Wilson-Brown was the first of three children born to Rogers and Relia Wilson. Jennifer was born August 17, 1965 in Lafayette, LA. Jennifer grew up in Ville Platte, LA and was determined to advance her lifestyle so she pursued her education from Ville Platte High School, graduating with the Class of 1983. Jennifer relocated to Houston, TX in 1996. She later graduated from San Jacinto Community College where she obtained her nursing degree. She worked as a MDS coordinator for the Cantex Continuing Care Network where she was able to display her love and compassion for the elderly. On June 6, 2008, Jennifer was united in holy matrimony to Elrick Brown. No children were born to this union, but she gained three step daughters: Erika, Whitney (Quentin), and Sidra. Jennifer attended Fallbrook Church under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Michael A. Pender, Sr.; she remained a faithful member until the time of her death. On June 7, 2016, at the age of 50 years old, Jennifer departed this earthly life for eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Victoria Wilson and Calvin and Orelia Jacobs, and brother-in-law, Gregg Brown. Precious, loving, and lasting memories will forever be cherished by her husband, Elrick Brown; her parents, Rogers and Relia Wilson of Ville Platte, LA; one sister, Yvonne Wilson of Ville Platte, LA; two brothers, Gary Wilson and Kefus (Clarissa) Thomas both of Houston, TX; nieces and nephews, Jasmine Thomas of Lafayette, LA, Trayonna Cole and Jared Doucet both of Ville Platte, LA, Todd Cole Jr. of Humble, TX, Jaylen Boast of Ville Platte, LA, and Janae Wilson of Houston, TX; one great-niece, Asia Cole of Humble, TX; three great-nephews, Donovan Bean Jr, Daylon Thomas, and Da’Miree Thomas of Lafayette, LA; three step-daughters; five step-grandchildren, Dior Duckworth, Meghan Duckworth, Micah Duckworth, Reese Duckworth all of Lufkin, TX and Allison Watts of Houston, TX; four brothers-in-law, Whitt Brown, Ronald (Margie) Brown, Cedric Brown all of Lufkin, TX, and Delrick (Brenda) Brown of Houston, TX; one sister-in-law, Bobbie Brown-Edwards; three godchildren, LaQuetha Wilson-Ellison of Port Arthur, TX, Todd Cole Jr. of Humble, TX, and Dillon Wilson of Ville Platte, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
