James R. Westerfield

His most precious gifts were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #1299.

Jim (JW) was a plumber by trade for 54 years. He was an avid deer hunter, fisher, gardener, a Mason, a horse and cat lover.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathy, his son Timothy and his daughters Diane and Cindy Jayne, his parents J.R and Verna Westerfield, his sisters Irene and Martha and his first wife Sadie Belle.

He leaves three surviving brothers; Carl (Mary Jo), Glenial (Kitty), and Frank (Theresei), three surviving sisters; Dora (George), Helen (David), Nancy Reynolds and Milly Westerfield. His children Robert (Rene) and Sherri (Buddy), grandchildren; Shawna, Stephanie, Amy and Aaron, great-grandchildren; Dylan and Georgia, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Family will receive extended family and friends for visitation on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. The funeral will be on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home with the interment following in Brookside Memorial Park.
