James Tremain, Jr., of Houston, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ. Saturday November 12, 2022 at the age of 89. He was born in Victoria. Texas May 4. 1933 to James C. Tremain, Sr. and Vera Gillam Tremain. He and Bobbie Chumbley met at Sam Houston University, fell in love and were married in Huntsville, Texas July 31, 1954. James’ passions in life were Christ, his family and all his friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Wayne and his sisters Sybil Cochran and Imojean Bunch.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie; his children Jana O’Neill, James C. Tremain III and Nita Schnitzer; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation for family and friends is from 6 pm to 8 pm Sunday, November 20, 2022. Funeral Service will be Monday, November 21, 2022 at 2 pm. in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Frwy (I69) Houston, Texas 77039, followed by burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
