Jack Leslie Spence, age 95 passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Jack was born January 8, 1927 in Uvalde, Texas. Jack was a World War II and Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Spence; his daughter Joanna Thornton; his grandchildren; Jeff Spence, Rebecca Mallory, Sean Thornton, and Julianne Thornton, great grandchildren Parker Mallory and Levi Mallory and his daughter-in-law Mary Spence. Jack was preceded in death by his son Greg Spence, and his brother Jim Spence. A visitation for Jack will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, Texas 77008. Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM, at the Heights Funeral Home Chapel. The committal service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, Texas 77055.
