In 1953 Delores remarried to Arnold Eggert who raised Jack along with his brothers. Delores and Arnold had six more children. They did leave the Galveston area in 1955 and resided in the Houston area. In 1957 the family bought the home in Humble, TX. Where Jack lived for over 50 years.
Jack graduated from Douglas Mac Arthur High School. He was fluent in Spanish and French language; however, his love was in French where he placed several ribbons in French competitions including 1st & 2nd place.
Jack went to work at a young age over the summers with his stepfather Arnold at the Aber Company & J.T Thorpe insulating company. While working in the Galveston area he would stay with longtime family friends the Archer family. Jack's love for cooking, laughter in the kitchen with their mother is still remembered from the Archer children today.
Jack also attended The U of H for Pharmacy while working at Emerson Plastics in Houston, TX. He received a certificate from Houston Keypunch Academy in 1971 for I B M Keypunch. Jack went to work for the Bank of Southwest downtown Houston, TX. In Data Processing For a long career.
Later in Jack's life he worked at Jed's Hardware close to home to be able to care for his Father & Mother. Jack went to Lamb of God Lutheran church where he received his certificate of Baptism in 2005 from Pastor Mark Brunette and was a member for over 10 years.
Jack never married and resided with his parents for over 50 years until their passing. He then relocated to Kingwood, TX. Still attending Lamb of God Church. Jack was a loving brother, Uncle and great Uncle. His love for Galveston never stopped and passions included Gardening, Painting and Cooking.
He is survived by his remaining siblings Robert John Pruett Jr., Delores J. Spencer, Carl W. Eggert, Susie A. Wallace, Sheila M. Orsak And Beverly E. Lee who will miss him greatly. Donna Morgan one of Jack's Nieces had been helping him over the past several years and greatly appreciated.
On Thursday September 16th, 2021, Jack was reunited with his parents and two siblings Rodney J Pruett and David A Eggert.
