J William “Bill” Ahern passed away August 4, 2018 in Houston, Texas, after a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife Julia; daughter Dawn Monte-Host and her husband Clint; sister-in-law Karen Johnston, brother-in-law Dean Metcalf and wife Katey; nephews Jeff Metcalf and wife Laura, Mike Metcalf and wife Deb, Tim Metcalf and wife Karen; and niece Kathy Metcalf Staraj and her husband Serge.
Bill proudly served his country in the Korean War as an officer in the US Army and was a business graduate of the University of Illinois. Bill spent time enjoying life between homes in San Francisco and Houston.
