Ismael "Mayo" Perez

Ismael "Mayo" Perez, age 77, of Houston, Texas, beloved husband, father, brother, grandpa and great-grandpa, passed away on Thursday, February 04, 2021. Ismael was born June 04, 1943 in Santa Rosa, Texas to Ezequiel Perez and Anita Vialon Perez. Ismael married Virginia "Kina" Castillo, after meeting at a grocery store in Corpus Christi, Texas. He remained a devoted husband for 56 years.

He is preceded in death by his siblings Gilberto Perez and spouse Petra, Roberto Perez and spouse Sophia, Santos Costilla and spouse Margarito Perez, Hermilinda Gomez and brother-in-law Emilio Armadillo.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Virginia Perez; his five children Martin Perez and wife Becky, Ismael Perez II, Cynthia Ann Aguilar and husband Gabriel, Michael Perez and wife Samantha, Laura Ann Stott and husband Spencer; grandchildren, Ashleigh Aguilar, Cory Norsworthy, Michael Perez Jr., Stephanie Perez, Gabriel Aguilar, Dominique Perez, Martin Perez Jr., Justin Perez, Kross Hinojosa, and Ashton Stott; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Thomas; siblings Adela Rodriguez, Pablo Perez, Aurora Villanueva and husband Romero Villanueva, Guadalupe Perez, Esther Armadillo, Refugio Lugo, Juanita Perez, Alicia Perez Hernandez and husband Ricardo Hernandez.

As an avid sportsman, Ismael never missed an opportunity to hunt or fish with his sons or grandsons and relished any opportunity to participate in family activities. Ismael will be sorely missed.
