Ira Antioan Jones was born March 28, 1971 to Veronica Brown and Eddie L. Bishop Jr. He was
born in Houston, Texas and raised in Eagle Lake, Texas. He attended B. H. Grimes Elementary.
Later moved to Eagle Lake at age 8 and graduated from Rice Consolidated High School. He
attended college at Sul Ross in Alpine, Texas. He was a professional Truck Driver that took
pride in his work. He worked for Herc for over twenty years and became "Master Driver". Ira was
known throughout the company as "DOZER".
Ira accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He loved music and sung in the
choir.
He is known for his big personality. He loved dancing, fishing, cooking, grilling (Pitmaster), and
all genres of music. To know Ira is to love Ira because he met no strangers and everyone was
family whether you were a co-worker or friend.
He was preceded in death by his brother Ira Cireleo Brown and father Eddie L. Bishop Jr. He
leaves to cherish his darling Tamika (wife), Veronica Fields (mother), Rhylee Jones (daughter),
Ira Jones Jr. (son), Khameron Thomas (son), Janice Bishop (stepmother), siblings: Jesse Bishop, Aaron Bishop, Raquel Bailey, Gina Bishop, two uncles, three aunts, and a host of relatives and friends.
