Idalia had a passion for singing, playing her accordion, Tejano music, her beloved dogs Lady and Baby, but above all, she found great joy in spending time her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; John Lee Soto, Grace April Soto, Matilda Joyce Soto, Debra Lee Soto, Rebecca Gutierrez, Crissy Soto, and Sara Jane Soto, thirty-seven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, two brothers, four sisters, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Idalia is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Angelita Soto, two brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 12:30pm at American Heritage Funeral Home with a committal service to follow at 1:30pm at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.
