Howard Paul Frank

Bro. Howard Paul Frank, Sr. transitioned to eternity on Thursday, June 8, 2023.

He was born on April 4, 1941 in Lawtell, Louisiana, to Hatley Frank and Armantine Robert Frank. He moved to Houston, Texas, at an early age and met and married his first wife, JoAnn Taylor Frank. Howard found love again and married Carolyn on July 29, 2007.

He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He retired from the City of Houston after more than 20 years of service. He was a man of wisdom, knowledge, and a computer and electronic geek with his perspective on many topics; he often felt he was the smartest man in the room. He was talented, playing the guitar and piano in a band for a few years. He loved vacationing every summer with his family in his RV traveling east or west to visit with family. RV traveling was his preferred mode of travel to see the country’s sites. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and spending time with them. He made the best pecan praline candy and loved cornbread and milk.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hatley Frank and Armantine; first wife, JoAnn Taylor Frank; son, Howard Paul Frank, Jr.; grandson, Jonathan DeMorris Kyle; daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Kyle; his sister, Leester Frank; and his brothers, Joseph Frank; J. Cornelius Frank and Talbert A. Frank.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Carolyn Frank of 15 years; daughter, Kathryn Marie Moses; sons, Tommy G. Frank (Shaundra), Shawn C. Frank (Lychelle); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

A visitation for Howard will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. Also, a visitation will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Paradise, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at PARADISE FUNERAL HOME, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The committal will immediately follow at PARADISE SOUTH CEMETERY, 2237 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581.
