Henry “Harry” Harrington, 74, of Spring, Texas, passed away July 8, 2018. He was born in Boston, MA on January 28, 1944. Harry graduated from Boston College and received a bachelor’s degree. He was married to Mary Ellen Gietl Harrington for 28 beautiful years. Harry had a career in the insurance industry for Sun Life of Canada and also taught special education to middle and high school students at Wells Middle School and Humble High School. He was a member of the St. Timothy Anglican Church and had a passion for church ministries and volunteering with the homeless veterans and adults with disabilities.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ellen Gietl Harrington, children: Heather Harrington, Rebecca Harrington Dawson, Ryan Henry Harrington, Godson Lance Aviles, Grandchildren: Yesenia Martinez, Kaytlin and Reese Turnell. Sister Kathleen Harrington Hughes and Brother in law Jack Hughes; Brother in law of Linda and Ed Gietl.
Funeral Mass will be held at Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 9:00 am at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, 6819 Louetta Road, Spring, Texas 77379. A committal service will follow the reception at 12:45 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038 with military honors to be rendered.
