He was born in Houston, Texas on June 22, 1964. Harvey graduated from St. Pius X High School and received a degree in Agriculture from Sam Houston State.
Harvey had a career in insurance for Stavinoha Insurance. Harvey was a devoted father to his son Joseph. Harvey enjoyed spending time with his family, especially during the holidays. He enjoyed watching sports and cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Harvey enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing.
Harvey is preceded in death by his father, Harvey Joseph Stavinoha Sr. and brother Howard Stavinoha. He is also preceded in death by grandparents Anton and Emma Stavinoha and Rudolph and Mary Popp.
He is survived by his son, Harvey Joseph Stavinoha III and loving mother Marie Stavinoha; siblings, Cynthia Stavinoha, Kimberly Stavinoha, and Gwendolyn Vanderdoes; nieces and nephews, Koby Stavinoha, Brittany Watson, Lauren Null, Ryan Moreno, Noah Vanderdoes, Christian Moreno, Jonah Vanderdoes, Abigail Moreno, and Emma Vanderdoes; great nieces and nephew, Kane Watson, Bailey Watson, and Olivia Stavinoha.
A visitation for Harvey will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
