Gloria Ortiz Gonzales

In loving memory of Gloria Ortiz Gonzales, who passed away surrounded by family on December 2nd, 2023. Born on August 24, 1958 to Celedonio and Ernestina Ortiz in Harlingen, Tx. Gloria’s life was defined by love, family, and a vibrant spirit.

Gloria leaves behind a lasting legacy through her children, Erika Sierra, Jennifer Sierra, and Joe Gonzales. Her memory is further cherished by grandchildren Selena, Jenny, Jessica, Jasmine, and great-grandchildren Paulina and Emma.

Surviving family includes her sisters Dora, Amalia, Olivia, Aurora, and brothers Celedonio Jr, Johnny, and Hector. Gloria’s love extended to several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Beyond her roles as a loving mother and grandmother, Gloria found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved the excitement of playing bingo with family and friends. She expressed herself through the art of dance, music, and the beauty of singing. Additionally, she found peace and relaxation in the soothing activity of coloring, turning blank pages into vibrant expressions of her creativity.

Gloria's legacy is one of love, creativity, and a profound impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Gloria's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her warmth and kindness. May she rest in peace.

A visitation for Gloria will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 with a rosary at 6:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.

A funeral service will occur Monday, December 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. Followed by a committal service at 12:00 PM at Grandview Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505.
