Gerardo was born in Monterrey, NL, and at a young age, the family moved to Leon, Gto where he lived until his young adulthood with his parents and siblings. Gerardo later moved to Houston, Texas where he met his wife Juana Maria “Janie”, and both married in October of 1991. In 1997, they welcomed their first daughter Sophia, and two years later in 1999, the family was complete when they welcomed their second daughter, Andrea.
Gerardo was a loving, respectful and caring person, always going out of his way to help out family and friends. He was a skilled welder in the oil and gas industry and took pride in crafting various projects. Many knew Gerardo as someone who loved soccer, traveling and family pets. As a strong man of faith, Gerardo led by example of what it meant to serve and be generous. He was an active parishioner of Christ the Good Shepherd in Spring, Texas. Some of the ministries he was a member of were - Movimiento Familiar Cristiano Catolico, Citizenship Ministry, and Men’s ACTS.
Gerardo is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, and 11 siblings, numerous nephews and nieces, as well as several others who treasure and will miss his friendship.
He now rests in peace with the Good Shepherd along with this parents, Genoveva Neri de Aranda and Jose Guadalupe Aranda and his nephew Francisco “Benji” Aranda Gutierrez.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Juan Alberto Aranda, Jaime Garcia, Ricardo Echeverria, Javier Garcia,Jesus Carrera and Jose Luis Larrañaga.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Cesar Gonzalez and Juan Manuel Carrera.
