A Houston native, she was born, raised and resided here her entire life. In 1954 she married the love of her life Billy Jack and was a loving and devoted wife of 17 years until his passing in 1972. Together, they added four children to the Wade family. Together they also owned and ran their own electrical business out of their own home and were actively involved in Country and Western line dancing. Yes, matching outfits and all. During their marriage she became an Eastern Star and was active in this organization throughout her entire life. She then began to work for Harris County until her retirement in 1994. After retirement Jeri loved to travel with her best friend Rose, sew, garden, and do all arts and crafts under the sun; but not until after her hummingbirds were fed.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Lucille Walter, her husband Billy Jack Wade, her sons Joe Jack Wade and Richard James Wade, her brother Theodore “Teddy” Walter Jr., grandson Billy Joe Wade, and sister Martha Doyle.
Jeri is survived by her children Kenneth Neal Wade and wife Cindy, Patricia Ann Casey, and Jenny Wade; wife of her son Richard James Wade, grandchildren Kevin O’Neal Wade, Lesley Ann Wade, Ryan Albert Wade and wife Blaire, Ashley Nicole Tiernan and husband Benjamin, and April Renee’ Casey, and sisters Elizabeth Ritter, Alice Love, and Patricia Wisher; wife of her brother Theodore “Teddy” Walter. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
She loved us all unconditionally; as we did her. May she be forever in our hearts and souls.
