George graduated from Macarthur High School. He had a career in Law Enforcement at the Houston Police Department for 35 years. George had a passion for outdoors, Houston Astros, and his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Gutierrez; brother, Santos Gutierrez.
George is survived by his sons, Joseph Gutierrez, George M. Gutierrez, and Gabriel M. Gutierrez; daughters, Mari Jaso (James), and Alyssa Gutierrez; grandchildren, Marissa, Matt, Jaxson, Joe Alias, Jinesis Aa’laia, Mathias, Izabelle, and Maddox; sisters, Kelly Rios (Chris), and Patty Martinez (Bobby).

A visitation for George will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 10:30 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
