Fernando Davila Jr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the age of 70, surrounded by loved ones. Fernando was born February 6, 1953, to Fernando and Elida Davila. On October 11, 1975, he wed the love of his life and best friend, Cindy Davila and they were proudly married 37 years. He began his career with INEOS in 1980 and worked as a chemical operator for 36 years and retired on July 7, 2016. Fernando loved his community and, for many years, dedicated his time to the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department as well as being a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Fernando loved spending time with his family, cooking BBQ, playing golf, going to Astros games, watching westerns and woodworking where he made Christmas yard decorations and various obstacle courses for his rc cars. He knew how to put a smile on someone’s face with his lessons on life, stories, and making people laugh with silly jokes.
He is survived by his two daughters, Dana (Jason) Hedge, Dianna (Marco) Olivares; granddaughters, Zoe & Emersyn Hedge; sisters, Yolanda (Jesse) Ramirez, Leticia Davila; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Cindy; dad, Fernando; mother, Elida; and sister, Gracie.
Please join us in honoring his beautiful life at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 1st at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church located at 2921 Center Street, Deer Park, TX 77536. Following church services, a celebration of life gathering will be held at DPVFD Rec Hall, 711 E. Pasadena Blvd, Deer Park, TX 77536.
