Evon was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Yeager; her husband of forty-three years, Warren L. Lewis and daughter Deborah G. Smith; four brothers, R. J. Yeager, Roy Yeager, John Yeager and Floyd Yeager; and four sisters, Josie Burney, Alene Hancock, Mary Thompson and Laque Bird.
Evon is survived by her son, Dwayne Lewis and his wife Sylvia of Houston; four grandchildren, Naomi Torres, Rachel Pelaez, Marrisa Lewis, Miriam Lewis and five great grandchildren, Bri’an Torres, Shauna Milford, Steven (Stevie) Milford, Nikko Torres and Alis Torres.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 28th, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors in Houston, Texas. Graveside services followed at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, also in Houston, at 3:00 p.m.
