Elizabeth Yeung Brown, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones who will honor her legacy by continuing her love of family and passion for life. She was born on August 28, 1966 in Houston, Texas to William and Anna Yeung. Elizabeth was a loving wife to her husband Ken, a devoted mother to her son Kenneth (recent Texas A&M graduate and Certified Flight Instructor) and daughter Kayla (recent Mary Hardin-Baylor graduate and registered nurse), and an affectionate daughter to her beloved parents. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the great fortune to know her and whose lives were touched and blessed because of her compassionate heart.
Elizabeth completed her bachelor’s degree in Accounting at the University of Houston in 1988 and began her career in the oil and gas industry where she excelled and most recently worked as a Director in the Midstream Account Services group at Kinder Morgan. Elizabeth’s propensity for details and compassion to help others made her a blessing to her family, friends, and coworkers. She was very dedicated at work and was loved and appreciated by her team and many within the company. She was also a huge sports fan, and often amazed everyone with her knowledge and ability to recall statistics and player lineups for many college and professional teams. Elizabeth was the go-to person in the family whenever we needed a birth date, anniversary, or other important family milestone dates.
Family was very important to Elizabeth. She enjoyed family time at weekly dinners with her siblings and their children and grandchildren as well as vacations with her wonderful in-laws. She loved cruising with family where she occasionally won additional cruises playing bingo onboard. Elizabeth had a passionate heart, was devoted to her faith, and was actively involved with her church and Angel Tree Ministries and other local and national charities.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents William and Anna Yeung and is now reunited with them for eternity. She leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 30 years, Ken Brown, two children Kenneth Brown and Kayla (Ryan) Hogan, in-laws Keith and Pat (Dad and Mom) Brown, and five siblings Lily (Daniel) Chee, Helen (Peter) Lim, John (Louisa) Yeung, Alice (Howard) Gee and Mary (David) Rennie and many nieces and nephews, and their children, that she loved very much.
