Elia Moya Rodriguez

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family brought her the greatest joy in life. She was a loving homemaker, an excellent cook, and a creatively talented seamstress. Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Carlos Barrera Rodriguez. She is survived by her sister Olivia Moya Martinez, her daughter, Elma Rodriguez Morales, and husband Hugo Morales; her grandchildren Gilma Elia DeLeon, Manuel ‘Dan’ DeLeon, Hilda Aurora DeLeon, Frank DeLeon, and Krista Ann Loera, husband Albert Loera, son Kodie Loera and wife Jessica; six great-grandchildren Lauren Alexandra Huber and husband Tim, Mia Rose Connell, Carlos Francisco ‘Frisco’ DeLeon, Marisa Grace Loera, Mallory Elia Loera, and David Hernandez, and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives who were very close to her heart.

The family wishes to extend a very sincere appreciation and thank you to her caretaker over the years, Dominga Posadas and to the Sunset Hospice nurses.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2013. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2013 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven.
