He attended Burrus Elementary - Junior High school and graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in 1955.
At an early age, he was baptized and received the Holy Sacrament of Confirmation at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. Edward was married to the late Lugenia M. Thomas and to this union, five children were born. Later in life, he had another son with Eugenia “Peaches” Holleman.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Fannie Hardy, sisters Carol Henley and Sebell Kelly, and his son Edward Hardy.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory five children Elaine, Walter, Stevie, Tonya and Lil Edward, twelve grandchildren Dale, Cherae, Chevelle, Chris, Chevon, Louis, Steven, D’arence, Lagenia, Chris, LaDarius and E’liyah, nine great grandchildren Jalun, Sadai, Jerrenee, Collier, Corbin, Jonovan, Frederick, Diamond and Khaza and one great great grandson Zion and a host of other relatives and friends.
