She met the love of her life, Gene Johnson in Mississippi and married on March 11, 1944. They were married for 58 years. Dorothy was a wonderful housewife.
Dorothy was a member of Southview Baptist Church. In her spare time she loved doing word search books, puzzles, picking up pecans and mowing grass.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gene Johnson; parents William Edward and Eva Mae Lucas; brothers John Dennis and Jack Hal Lucas.
Dorothy is survived by her three children: Jim Johnson and wife Pegi; Darlene Walker and husband Pat; Alan Johnson and wife Debbie; grandchildren: David and Christina Johnson, Matthew and Jennifer Walker, Sarah and Trent Goebel, Mandy Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren: Madison Johnson, Hailey Johnson, Blake Johnson, Hailey Goebel, Riley Goebel, Paisley Goebel, Levi Walker, Wesley Walker, Bryanna Scott and Peyton Scott.
Serving as pallbearers are Pat Walker, Matthew Walker, Jim Johnson, David Johnson, Alan Johnson and Trent Goebel.
