Dora Rogers

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Juan H. and Concepion “Connie” Perez, and Sister Janie Perez of Port Lavaca, Texas.

Dora leaves behind a family that adored her. Her loving and doting Husband Lawrence “Law” Rogers and children Elizabeth “Liz” Caldera, Pedro “Pete” Daniel Gutierrez, and John Mclaughlin, Daughter in Law Emily Gutierrez, 2 precious grandsons, Julian Gutierrez and Elias Ray Gutierrez and equally adored Grand Daughter Avalon Araoz and brother Alberto Perez, and her Step Children Andrea Lane Russell, Lark Alicia Rogers and grandkids, Christopher Saathoff and Kaylee Russell, Son-in-law Brandon Russell.

Dora was passionate about being of service to others. She showcased this admirable skill and trait by being a tireless volunteer with the American Cancer Society, The Houston Rodeo Committee, Best Buddies International, and Autism Speaks.

Dora was always the life of the party and would light up any room she entered. Her kindness, zest for life, and helping others was just a bit of her magic. She would always think about the comfort and needs of others and would give even strangers a kind word, a candle, or warm meal if she thought they needed it.

Visitation Services will be held at the Brookside Funeral Home – Cypress Creek on Wed. December 18,2024 at 5pm-8pm. 9149 Hwy 6 N, Houston, TX 77095

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Athena’s Greek & European Kitchen on Thursday December 19,2024 6pm – 9pm. 13250 FM 529, Houston, TX 77041.
