sadly passed away surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 85.
Donna was born on October 14th, 1939, to Donald and Mary Henry in Houston, Texas. She Graduated Spring Branch High school in June, 1956 and met the love of her life, Gilbert Mitschke right after graduating. They were married on June 7th, 1956 and in April 1971, they adopted their son John Mitschke in San Antonio.
Donna was a dedicated daughter, sister, and friend. She was uplifting, hardworking, kind, and
deeply spiritual. Donna is predeceased by her grandparents, mother Mary Henry, father Donald
Henry, husband Gilbert Mitschke, and sister Andrea Cassel.
She is survived by her three grandchildren; Ashley Mitschke (31), Cole Mitschke (25), and Emerson Mitschke (19), as well as three great-grandchildren from Ashley; Carson John (10), Hudson Wayne (8), Rilynn Brooke (6); Her sister Nancy Sandoz, and many more friends and family.
Each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense joy; she loved them deeply and cherished every moment spent with them, in addition to being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Officiant will be Pastor M. Funeral Arrangements are made for Monday, December 23rd at Memorial Oaks Cemetery and Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway. The viewing will be at 1pm, service at 2pm, and graveside at 3pm.
