Dolores Marie Clogston Swedras

Dolores Marie Clogston Swedras was born on January 9, 1920 and went to be with Jesus on April 5, 2012. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She retired from the V. A. Regional Office. She was a member of Heights Presbyterian Church, Houston, and was a Sunday Teacher for 22 years. She transferred to Faith Assembly Church and continued as a Sunday School Teacher for 33 years. Teaching Sunday School and working with the children was something that she enjoyed and was proud to do. She touched many lives. She is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew J. Swedras. She is survived by her children, Joyce Swedras, Sharon Bishop and husband James Bishop, James Swedras, Marie Herrin and husband Steven Herrin, grandchildren, Jennifer Isenhour, Eric Bishop, Ashley Bishop, and Melissa Herrin, nephews Robert Wesley Clogston and George Lesley Clogston. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 12 p. m. in the Heights Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Brookside Memorial Park. Donations may be made to Faith Assembly Church, 7755 Fairbanks North Houston, Houston, Texas 77040.
