Debra was born on January 7th, 1957 to parents Roy Henry Krebs and Vernice Mae Klump in Spring Branch in Houston, Texas. She grew up in Spring Branch attending Hollibrook Elementary, Spring Woods Jr. High, and graduated from Northbrook High School Class of 1975. She attended Houston Community College for two years and took many art classes. She worked for many years for various companies including Worthington, Texas Art Supply in Montrose, and Walmart on Beltway 8 and Westview Dr.
In October 1976, she married Gary William Moore of Houston, TX. They were married for 11 years. They had one child, Gwendolyn Theresa Moore on December 7th, 1982. Debra was a lifetime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She had many friends there and attended worship every Sunday and Bible Study on Wednesdays. She was a devout Lutheran.
Debra was a very creative person and had many creative hobbies. She learned to play the clarinet and piano. She loved to paint artwork, especially oil painting, painted dozens of oil paintings over her lifetime. She spent several years learning how to make stained glass creations and made dozens of stained glass creations. Perhaps her favorite hobby of all was crocheting. She crocheted hundreds of items such as doilies, pot holders, and blankets among many more. She was very proud of gifting her creations to her friends and family. Debra loved her family and had a hobby for many years researching genealogy of her family history. She would often spend hours at libraries and visiting cemeteries researching her family history of the Krebs and Klump families. She loved talking on the phone and calling people to catch up with friends and family members. She was a very outgoing person and everyone she met she would talk to and strike up conversation.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Vernice Krebs, many Aunts and Uncles, and Son-in-law Marcos Nava. She is survived by her daughter Gwendolyn Moore, grandson Dominick Nava, sister Rhonda Pizzitola and husband Johnny Pizzitola, sister Lanee Sheer and husband Ty Sheer, brother Randall Krebs, nephews Justin Pizzitola, John Pizzitola, and Christian Sheer, and niece Ashley Pizzitola. She is also survived by four great nephews and one great niece, and an uncle and aunts.
Debra passed away at her home in Houston, Texas of natural causes on February 4th, 2018. Services were held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7901 Westview Dr. in Houston, 77055, on Friday February 9, 2018. Visitation began on Friday at 1pm, with a service at 2pm, followed by burial at 3:30pm, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway.
In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
