Debra Ann Sandoz Harrison was the first born to John and Ada Pearl Sandoz on October 22, 1955, in Houston, Texas. With the blessings of being raised in a Christian home, she confessed her love of Christ at an early age and continued her walk throughout her life.
Debra graduated from Kashmere High School in 1974. Quickly after graduating high school, she started working for the City of Houston and Texas Rehabilitation Hospital before she started her career at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. While working at MD Anderson, she was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and decided to retire after several years of dedicated service as a Financial Advisor. Soon after retirement in 2017 Debra was able to beat Lung Cancer. Debra was a devoted member at New Bethel Baptist Worship Experience Church under the leadership of Pastor Caleb B. Anderson, where she was a faithful member of the Women of Wisdom Mission and a devoted Greeter. During her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, cooking, listening to music, and trail riding with the Midnight Riders Trail Riding Club.
The Lord called Debra to eternal rest on December 31, 2020. Proceeding her in death were her parents John and Ada Pearl Sandoz and her sister Sandra Kay Sandoz. Left to cherish her loving memories are her two devoted sons: Lendrick Sims (Monique), Donnell Harrison (Kelsee); daughter Terina Bates; God-Mother Faye Taylor; sisters Beth Anderson, Queen Moses, Vera Jo Williams and Charlotta Williams; brothers Lester Fowler Sr. and Van Williams; a lifelong dedicated friend Mary Allen, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
