Deborah Ann Hawkins-Holt was born to the proud parents of Sam Hawkins and Annie Doris Tardy on September 10, 1951 in Houston, Texas. She attended Atherton Elementary, Henderson Elementary, E.O. Smith Middle School and Kashmere High School. She graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in 1968. She later attended Houston Business School. She received Christ at an early age. She was united in Holy Matrimony to her loving husband Ronald Eugene Holt on October 5, 1968. To this union two children were born. She became a dietician at M.D. Anderson and later worked as a teacher in the Montessori School. She had a special love for working with children. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, step-father;Melvin Lewis,Sr.; grandmother, Jessie Webb; siblings, Johnny Tardy, Paulette Lewis, Paul Lewis and Kevin Lewis; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Holt. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband of 48 years, Ronald Eugene Holt, children; Prudence and Adrian Holt; siblings, Donna Ray Lewis, Hester Marie Lewis, Martha Ann Lewis, Bessie Mae Lewis, Melvin Lewis, Jr., Jessie Lewis(Annice), William Lewis (Jackie); fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of aunts,uncles, relatives and friends. www.forevermissed.com/debrah-holt
