Dawn Michelle Dunlap

Michelle went to MacArthur High School until 1993. She had a career in Environmental Services at Herman Memorial the Woodlands for 10 years. Michelle was a giver and enjoyed helping others. She had a heart for humanity, and gave herself when she could. Michelle also liked the holidays. It was a time to spend with family. She enjoyed watching scary movies and dressing up for Halloween. The way Michelle viewed it, Halloween is the one time of the year you are accepted no matter how you look or what you wear; you will be complimented and given treats regardless. Michelle loved all of her family; especially her children and grandchildren. She also had a special place in her heart for Dwayne McMillian.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Lawrence Dunlap; paternal grandmother, Edna Patterson; maternal grandmother, Myrtle Bone; brothers, Richard Wayne Dunlap and Baby Boy.

Michelle is survived by her mother, Joann Estrada; daughter, Samantha Autum Batts; son, Steffan Steven Dunlap; grandsons, Zerati Pierre Williams, and Malakai Marquise Jones; sister, Jo Ann Case; brother, Danny Ray Dunlap; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephew.

Serving as pallbearers are Steffan Dunlap, Danny Dunlap, Gary Lanza, Jerry Lanza, Andrew Case and William Black.

A visitation for Dawn will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A burial committal will occur Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas.
