So many trips to the ballfield & so many memories with the family.

David has been apart of my life since I was 4 years old, before he was my step dad he was my coach. I will always remember after my first time meeting him and going to practice I brought him flowers because I wanted him to be my boyfriend. I was just so smitten by him, I mean who wouldn’t be. Then David became a step dad to myself and my other siblings, and I think I can speak on behalf of each one of us that we couldn’t have received a better second father figure to be in our lives. We may have not always got along, or believed in the same things but the love he had for us was always apparent. As much as I wish he was with me here today, I know that I could not have a better guardian angel watching over us. I love you, Stubbs. 

About 10 years ago, I met David for the first time when I started working with my dad, Bill McCall. He comes in our shop so full of life and energy and jokes. Even in the face of disaster, he just kept his chin up and planned how to keep going. David- I loved how when you walked in the room you made everyone feel like family. Everyone was your friend. You always had a crazy joke for the day that made us laugh. As a matter fact, you’re the one that got me drinking those vanilla lattes from Starbucks. David,  you have a special place in my dad’s heart, and that special place fit right in my heart too. I will miss you. You put up an awesome fight like you always did. May you rest in peace and may the Lord hold you in his arms. See ya Biggen.

Leaned on each other a lot during this time.
We had a lot to learn and not many resources 
To work with, but we survived.
We made a lot of memories that will last as 
Long as we do

I remember a precious memory of David Earl when he only of the age of 4 or 5. He was collecting money for Bro. Andrew ministry for Bilbles to be smuggled in China.  So sweet. David Earl was a kind man and he will never be forgotten!!


David Earl was my best friend growing up. I could not have asked God for a kinder or more generous friend.  The Stubbs' were family to me.  He, Jay, Carl, Evelyn, Tina...  Just around the corner and always supportive, loyal, funny, encouraging, prankish.  He was the kind of kid who made every day fun. and matured into a man that shared that joy with family, cowrkers, and his many friends.  

Everyone deserves to grow up with a friend like David Stubbs; I was forever blessed that he was mine.   

David  was  good guy, coffee, Marlboros and a lot of jokes. He will  be  missed. R.I.P.

During my adolescence years, David made a huge impacted on my life. He coached me for over five years. He treated me like if I was one of his daughters, He took me under his wing. He would go out of his way to pick me up for practices and games and always stopped at Starbucks and bought me Frappuccinos. I never had Starbucks before him nonetheless a Frappuccino! He was such a kind genuine soul I’m forever grateful for the things he did for me and my family. I remember when he found out my middle name was Denise... I hope I don’t tell this joke wrong. So the joke goes something like... “a mother had just given birth to her first child and was knocked out after giving birth and her brother was there. when the doctors came in and asked for the name they chose for the baby, the brother gave a name frantically. Later the mother wakes up and finds out her brother had named her baby and was nervous to find out what he gave. She asks and he tells her  Denise. She was surprised by the beautiful name he given and she asked how he came about the name. He said well if he was a boy I’d name him denephew but she’s a girl so Denise will do. “Lol he was always good at telling corny dad jokes. I’m pretty sure he’s the reason I find dad jokes so funny to this day. He left a lasting imprint on my life. 
Rest In Peace David you’ll forever be remembered. 💕💕💕
