David “Devin” Contreras, 60, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Affectionately known as Devin to his friends and family, he was born on August 31, 1953 in Houston, Texas. Devin enjoyed many things including reading, entertaining friends, collecting antiques, and admiring art. Everyone will always remember him as being the life of the party with the ability to make every gathering an event. Devin is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his siblings Larry Contreras, Julia Morales, Sally Contreras, Diana “Lana” Vasquez and Sandra Gonzales, his lifelong friend Andy Mills, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and countless friends. A celebration of Devin’s life is scheduled to take place at E.J.’s bar on Sunday November 17, 2013 at 3 PM. E.J.’s is located at 2517 Ralph in Houston, Texas 77006. In lieu of traditional flower tributes the family asks that donations be made to Bering Omega House in Houston, Texas.
