David Graham Beerbower (93) passed peacefully to the Lord on December 1, 2022 in Houston, Texas. David is survived by his sibling, Ben Beerbower, wife, Carole Beerbower, son, John Beerbower, granddaughters, Marina, Krista, and Kaci, and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Nico, and Isla Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Elizabeth Beerbower, first wife, Joanne Beerbower, and daughter, Annie Beerbower.
David was born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 21, 1928. After growing up in several different states, David graduated from Austin High School in Houston, Texas. He went on to attend the University of Houston and University of Texas for undergraduate school, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Business. He subsequently attended the University of Texas Law School where he obtained he Juris Doctorate in 1953. David then served in the United States Army as a member of Counter Intelligence Corps from 1953 to 1960. Following the Army, he began a successful career as an oil and gas attorney working for Allied Chemical, Superior Oil, and several prestigious private practice firms. He ultimately went on to become an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, which he thoroughly enjoyed. In addition to his legal career, David was also a very accomplished businessman, owning various apartment buildings, restaurants, car dealerships, and a factoring company. Not only was David successful in his career and business ventures, but he also had many passions and hobbies, including home projects, sailing, attending the symphony, and playing tennis. He maintained an avid passion for learning and took continuing education classes, including physics and astronomy, at Rice University. Most importantly however, David was a devoted family man and follower of the Lord. Growing up during the Great Depression, David, his father, and brother worked hard to support the family. This love and dedication persisted throughout his lifetime and served as the foundation for the close relationships he shared with his children, grandchildren, and other family members. David will be lovingly remembered as the incredible, caring, ambitious, honest, and humble man that he was. Today and every day we will celebrate his life and the meaningful impact he made in this world.
