Danny J Carter, 76, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, the 10th of July 2015 with his daughters by his side. He was born on the 2nd of September 1938 to John W Carter and Mary Maxwell Carter in Houston, Texas. Danny a lifelong resident of Spring Branch, graduated from Spring Branch High School. Then Danny volunteered to serve his country in the United States Army. During this time serving in Korea and Japan. While serving in the military he met the love of his life, Josephine Romans, enjoying 27 years of marriage until her passing. Danny had a 32 year career with Houston Lighting & Power.
He is survived by his daughters who love him greatly: Angela Morgan, Dana Rincon, and Hope Carter. Danny also took great pleasure in his 7 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his son in law Joseph Rincon. Danny was a loving brother and brother in law to his sister Margaret and her husband Ray Davis, Gerald Carter, Kenny and his wife Karen Carter, and his nephews Brad and Andrew Davis, Garret Carter, Ty and Chad Zeretzke.
Friends are cordially invited to a chapel service and celebration with the family at eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 14th of July, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston with Rabbi Richard Freeman officiating. Immediately following all are invited to greet the family during a catered reception in the adjacent grand foyer.
The interment service with military honors will be at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 15th of July, at West Boone Prairie Cemetery in Robertson County, Texas.
