Cynthia Jo Alexander was born September 12, 1955, in Orange, Texas to parents Elree Alexander and Nettie Mae Townsend. Cynthia was raised with her two brothers Lexie, and David. Cynthia spent the majority of her life here in Houston. She was introduced to her half-sister, Jane Ferentzi, from England, later in her life. The two grew into great friends and siblings, and they would often call one another and chat.
Cynthia was one of the sweetest, and most down to earth people you would ever meet. She did however, have a very quick witted, and humorous personality. In high school, she participated in the rainbow organization for girls and earned the role of time keeper. She thoroughly enjoyed this organization and the time she spent making lifelong friends. She later went on to graduate from Spring Branch High School in 1974. Cynthia then worked at AAA insurance company in the records/billing department for 25 years, before retiring. Cynthia was an avid dog lover, and especially loved her Yorkshire Terrier, Tiger. She also collected barbie dolls and ensured that they were perfectly preserved. Cynthia was also a huge fan of the king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley. She collected his vinyl records, books, photographs, cookbooks, and other memorables. She also had a niche for collecting pens, pencils and markers. She especially loved her pens. You could say that she would go as far as stealing or hoarding pens. However, she could never love her pen collection, as much as she enjoyed her snicker bars. In addition to all of the things she loved collecting, Cynthia especially loved her TV, particularly as she grew older, and her eyesight worsened. She could tell the time of day, just by what was on the television. If she had her way, she would have lived in the cw-39 studio, with all her favorite shows on repeat.
Cynthia passed away on June 5, 2023, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 67. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Elree Alexander, and Nettie Mae. She is also preceded by her brothers David and Lexie Alexander. Cynthia is survived by her Aunts, Uncles, and her loving first and second cousins, whom took such great care of her for over 20 years.
